Saddle Stories
Saddle Stories
A unique evening combining the joy of cycling with the power of creative writing
Join us for Saddle Stories, a unique evening combining the joy of cycling with the power of creative writing!
We’ll start with a leisurely group cycle down the scenic Fallowfield Loop, riding from St Werburgh’s Road Tram Stop in Chorlton to Station South in Levenshulme. This pre-workshop optional cycle is the perfect way to get your creative gears turning and enjoy some fresh air before diving into the world of words. We’ll set off at 5:00 PM and cycle at a leisurely pace following the off road Fallowfield Loop Cycle Path. Perfect for cyclists who don’t yet feel comfortable cycling alongside cars.

Following our ride, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we’ll gather for an engaging creative writing workshop. Facilitator Ella Otomewo will provide you with prompts and guidance to inspire writing on cycling, the outdoors and eco-politics. All participants will be invited to submit their work to our upcoming audio anthology Saddle Stories.
